MATLab Support Request

Service Description

The MATLAB Support Request allows researchers to request general assistance with MATLAB in UAlbany’s High Performance Computing environment. MATLAB is a programming and numerical computing platform used for matrix operations, data analysis and visualization, algorithm development, modeling, and interfacing with programs written in other languages.

What’s Included

• General guidance on using MATLAB in the HPC environment

• Assistance locating or launching the available MATLAB environment

• Questions about available MATLAB versions, toolboxes, or licensing
• Requests for MATLAB software, toolboxes, or configuration changes in the HPC environment
• General MATLAB requests that are not technical problems or new access requests

What’s Not Included

• Problems or errors affecting MATLAB in the HPC environment. Use the Report a Problem Using the High Performance Computing Cluster
• New access to MATLAB or the HPC environment. Use the High Performance Computing Access Request. MATLAB access is provided through the HPC access process. 
• MATLAB installation or support on a university-owned workstation or personal computer
• General HPC assistance unrelated to MATLAB. Use Other High Performance Computing Support Request.
• Development, debugging, or modification of research code
• Guaranteed availability or licensing of every MATLAB toolbox or add-on
