RStudio Support Request

Service Description

The RStudio Support Request allows researchers to request general assistance with RStudio in UAlbany’s High Performance Computing environment. RStudio is an integrated development environment for the R programming language that provides a syntax-highlighting editor with direct code execution and tools for plotting, debugging, command history, and workspace management.

What’s Included

• General guidance on using RStudio in the HPC environment

• Assistance locating or launching the available RStudio environment

• Questions about available R versions, packages, or libraries
• Requests for R packages or configuration changes in the HPC environment
• General RStudio requests that are not technical problems or new access requests

What’s Not Included

• Problems or errors affecting RStudio in the HPC environment. Use the Report a Problem Using the High Performance Computing Cluster

• New access to RStudio or the HPC environment. Use the High Performance Computing Access Request. RStudio access is provided through the HPC access process. 

• RStudio installation or support on a university-owned workstation or personal computer
• General HPC assistance unrelated to RStudio. Use Other High Performance Computing Support Request.
