Service Description
The Workstation Equipment Pickup/Removal service provides ITS support for collecting University‑issued computers and peripherals that a department no longer needs (for events such as employee departures, equipment surplus, or department reorganizations). The service ensures equipment is securely recovered, processed, and removed from asset inventory in line with University surplus and data‑security requirements. Research Foundation (RF)-tagged assets are disposed of at pickup, regardless of age. Departments should retain RF-tagged devices needed for other uses until they are ready for pickup and disposal.
